In September 2023, the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports, a division of the Ministry of Interior in Pakistan, has retained the existing passport fees for various categories, ensuring accessibility for all citizens looking to obtain or renew their passports.

First-Time Applicants:

Citizens aged 18 and above who are applying for a new passport, the following documents required:

  • Proof of Fee Payment: Applicants must provide evidence of the prescribed passport fee payment. This can be done through an Original Bank Paid Fee Challan (receipt) or e-Payment Confirmation Detail (received via SMS/Email) along with the PSID No.
  • Original CNIC/NICOP: A photocopy of the original Valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is mandatory.
  • Previous Passport: If an applicant has previously held a passport, they should provide the original passport along with a photocopy.
  • NOC (No Objection Certificate): Government, semi-government, or autonomous body employees must obtain an NOC from the concerned department.
  • Foreign Passport: Dual nationals required to submit their foreign passport along with a photocopy.
  • Lost Passport: If the applicant’s passport lost, they should bring a Lost Passport Police report mentioning the previous passport number.

For Applicants Under 18:

For minors under the age of 18 applying for a new passport, the following documents are required:

  • Proof of Fee Payment: As with adult applicants, evidence of the prescribed passport fee payment is necessary.
  • Child Registration Certificate (CRC)/Form “B” or FRC: Applicants should provide the original Child Registration Certificate (CRC)/Form “B” or Family Registration Certificate (FRC) or Smart Card, along with one photocopy.
  • Parents’ Original CNICs or Passports: Original valid CNICs or Passports of both parents are needed, along with photocopies.
  • Accompanying Parent or Legal Guardian: The minor must be accompanied by either a parent or a legal guardian appointed by the court of law. The accompanying individual should provide their original valid CNIC/NICOP along with its photocopy.
  • Custody Papers (if parents are separated/divorced): In cases of separation or divorce, custody papers granted by Court of Law needed.
  • Permission for Passport Issuance (if parents are divorced/separated): If only one parent is applying for the minor’s passport due to divorce or separation, explicit permission is needed from the other parent, either through their physical presence or consent on duly attested non-judicial stamp paper.
  • Guardianship Certificate (if applicable): If a guardian is applying, a guardianship certificate issued by the court of law is necessary. The appointed guardian must visit the Passport office personally with the minor, along with their original CNIC and its photocopy.
  • Foreign Passport (for Dual Nationals): Dual nationals among minors must submit their foreign passport along with a photocopy.
  • Death Certificate (if either parent is deceased): In cases where one parent deceased, the original Death Certificate along with a photocopy should provided.

  • 36-Page Passport: Rs4,000
  • 72-Page Passport: Rs6,500
  • 100-Page Passport: Rs7,000
