Recently, the federal officials revised the official office hours of passport in Pakistan during Ramadan 2026. The Directorate general immigration and passports (DGI&P) reduced working hours of all the regional centers. The aim of these changes is to ease both citizens and staff members during the fasting month and still have important services during the 24 hours in major cities.
The Government of Pakistan published the updated passport office schedule in Pakistan to Ramadan 2026. The regional offices have a narrower window within which to run the holy month.
New Passport Office Schedule for Ramadan 2026
Standard regional offices follow a specific morning-to-afternoon block. Doors open early, but services conclude mid-afternoon.
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Friday: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Staff recommend arriving before 11:00 AM to secure a token. Public dealing usually stops 45 minutes before the final closing time.
24 Hour Passport Service Timings
For those needing flexibility, the 24 hour passport service timings in Ramadan 2026 remain active at Mega Centers. These locations operate day and night. However, they observe specific breaks for religious obligations.
- Locations: Islamabad (G-10), Lahore (Garden Town), and Karachi (Awami Markaz/North Nazimabad).
- Sehri/Iftar Breaks: Services pause for approximately 90 minutes during Iftar and 60 minutes for Sehri.
- Taraweeh Break: A two-hour pause typically occurs between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
Fast Track and Online Options
The Fast Track passport service now covers 47 cities. This option provides a 2-day turnaround for urgent travelers. Using the Passport Fee Asaan app is the fastest way to skip bank queues. Citizens can also use the online passport renewal portal for standard renewals without visiting an office.
