Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has offered a sizable discount for passengers traveling between Beijing and Islamabad that is applicable right away.
According to a senior official, the new price for a ticket from Beijing to Islamabad is RMB 4,681 (Rs. 152,285) inclusive of taxes. This would significantly reduce the cost for people who wish to go to Pakistan for the Chinese New Year holiday to see their relatives.
Beijing-Islamabad-Beijing round-trip fares have been reduced by the national carrier and are now RMB 12,050 (Rs. 392,018) inclusive of taxes.
On Sunday and Wednesday, respectively, PIA now offers weekly flights on the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad and Islamabad-Chengdu-Islamabad routes.
Additionally, PIA has received permission from China’s Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC) to start weekly flights on the Islamabad-Xian-Islamabad route, and the airline is getting ready to start service on this route as well.
China will stop requiring foreign tourists to stay in quarantine starting on January 8th. The nucleic acid test must be completed by travelers traveling to China no later than 48 hours before their scheduled departure. After-arrival nucleic acid screening and centralized isolation, according to China’s National Health Commission, will be discontinued.
