PIA’s Plane Forced to Enter Indian Airspace

PIA plane enters Indian airspace due to bad weather in Lahore

On Wednesday, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane had to enter Indian airspace to avoid bad weather and thunderstorms while flying to Lahore from Saudi city Dammam. According to aviation sources, the PIA flight PK 248 was unable to land at Lahore airport due to the adverse weather conditions.

As a result, the plane’s course was diverted towards Indian airspace while turning towards Multan from Lahore. The PIA pilot informed the Indian Aviation authorities about entering Indian airspace, and due to the situation, the Indian Air Traffic Control granted permission to the PIA plane to use Indian airspace to turn towards Multan.

The captain of PIA’s flight had to go to the Indian city of Ferozepur in Indian airspace to turn towards Multan airport. The PIA captain informed the Indian Aviation authorities about the situation, and the flight safely landed at Multan airport.

According to aviation sources, once the weather improves, the flight will be taken back to Lahore. The incident highlights the impact of weather conditions on air travel and the importance of proactive measures to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
