The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a fresh weather forecast, predicting cloudy weather and chances of light rain and drizzle in Karachi as the monsoon system continues to affect different parts of the country.
The latest weather update for Karachi says that there will be partly cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall in various parts of the city. Due to the rise in moisture in the atmosphere, the rain may fall as drizzle on Sindh’s coastal areas, which include Karachi, Badin, Thatta, and Sujawal.
Weather in Karachi will continue to be humid with high moisture levels, which will make the weather feel hotter than normal. Citizens are urged to exercise caution during the rainy season particularly when on the road as some roads may be wet and could be problematic due to poor drainage.
PMD Issues Monsoon Advisory for Karachi
The Meteorological Department has advised the relevant authorities to take good care of drainage mechanisms and be ready for the challenges that may arise if there is rain. The public has also been warned to not travel unnecessarily during heavy rainfall and to take precautions.
The prevailing monsoon circulation has already triggered rainfall over parts of Pakistan including Islamabad and Punjab where thundershowers and spells of rain may be possible.
Karachi Rain Forecast: Citizens Await Relief from Humidity
Humid weather conditions in Karachi are making people here hope for rainfall. Light showers could offer some relief from the heat and might enhance the weather.
The PMD will keep a close watch on the monsoon system and provide additional updates on weather and rainfall possibilities in Karachi in the next few days.
