Punjab Daily Wage Rates Revised for July–December 2026, Minimum Wage Set at Rs40,000

The Punjab government has officially revised the Punjab daily wage rates 2026 for workers employed on government development and construction projects. The new wage rates will remain effective for the July–December 2026 period and are aimed at improving workers’ earnings across the province.
According to the latest notification, unskilled workers will now receive Rs1,538 per day, while skilled workers, including electricians, plumbers, welders, and masons, will be paid Rs2,000 per day.
The government has also increased the wages for semi-skilled workers, such as gardeners and chainmen, fixing their daily wage at Rs1,560.
In addition to the revised daily wages, the minimum monthly wage in Punjab has been set at Rs40,000. The updated wage structure will be used in preparing cost estimates for all government development and construction projects across the province.
The revised Punjab daily wage rates are expected to provide better financial support to workers while ensuring that government project budgets reflect the latest labor costs.
