Sindh is set to recruit 800 individuals for Rescue 1122, focusing on key highways and motorways. This decision aims to enhance emergency response capabilities across the province, particularly on Motorway M9 and Highways N5 and N55.
The new recruits will be stationed at 16 existing satellite stations strategically located along these major routes. The recruitment includes 200 positions for experienced paramedic staff and another 200 for skilled drivers. These roles are critical in preparing for potential future flooding and in providing timely assistance during accidents on these busy roads.
Although these positions are based in Sindh, the hiring process will be managed by a specialized testing company headquartered in Islamabad. This ensures a rigorous and fair selection of candidates to meet the high standards required for these roles.
Once the recruitment is complete, additional staff will be hired, including two instructors, two rescue drill instructors, and two fire drill instructors. These trainers will be responsible for equipping the new recruits with the necessary skills to handle emergencies effectively.
This swift recruitment drive reflects Sindh’s commitment to improving its emergency response infrastructure and ensuring the safety of its residents and travelers. With the new team in place, Rescue 1122 will be better prepared to manage crises on some of the province’s busiest routes.
