SNGPL Announces New Hybrid Solar Water Heater in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has introduced a new hybrid solar water heater that combines solar energy with electricity, ensuring a supply of hot water even when sunlight is limited.

SNGPL introduced the new system through a video posted on its official X account, titled “Now Heat Water the Smart Way.”

According to the company, the hybrid water heater primarily uses solar energy, while its electric backup can be activated when sunlight is insufficient or weather conditions affect solar heating.

The system also features Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to control the temperature and heating process remotely.

According to SNGPL, the hybrid solar water heater has a 200-liter storage capacity and can keep water hot for up to 24 hours. It can be used by households as well as commercial facilities, including hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and laundries.
