State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Unveils Summer Internship Program 2024

In a recent announcement, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has introduced its much-anticipated six-week Summer Internship Program (SIP) 2024. This immersive program is scheduled to run from June 24 to August 02 and will take place at the SBP headquarters in Karachi.

Eligibility Criteria for Participation:

Interested candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Pakistani/AJK nationals possessing CNIC/NICOP/valid Pakistani passport.
• Completion of at least two out of four years of a Bachelor’s degree program or enrollment in a Master’s program in specified disciplines.
• Disciplines include Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics, Human Resources, Agriculture, Media Sciences/Mass Communication, Information Systems, and Technology.
• Minimum academic achievement of 70% marks (where percentage system applies) or a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or 4.00 out of 5.00 (where GPA system is applicable).
• Fulfillment of eligibility criteria at the time of application; graduates or students awaiting results will not be considered.

Application Procedure:

Application Deadline:

All applications must be submitted online by February 15, 2024.

Selection Process:

• Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by March 15, 2024.
• Required documentation includes scanned attested copies of the last semester’s official transcript, CNIC/NICOP/valid Pakistani passport, domicile, and one passport size photograph.
• Attempts to influence the selection process will lead to automatic disqualification.
• SBP will make the final selection and notify successful candidates via email.

Internship Details:

• The internship will take place exclusively at SBP, Karachi.
• Selected interns will not receive reimbursement for travel expenses to and from Karachi, and no accommodation will be provided during the internship.
