Starting September 1, Pakistan Railways will resume its train service between Karachi and Rawalpindi, which had been suspended since 2022 due to devastating floods. This renewed service will be managed by a private logistics company, marking a significant collaboration between the public and private sectors.

In addition to the new private sector service, Pakistan Railways has announced the launch of a ‘Summer Vacation Special Train’ to facilitate passengers during the holiday season.
Schedule for the Special Train:
- Departure from Rawalpindi (50-Dn):
- July 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29
- Departure Time: 12:30 PM
- Arrival at Karachi Cantt: 2:15 PM the next day
- Return from Karachi Cantt (49-Up):
- July 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30
- Departure Time: 8:45 PM
- Arrival at Rawalpindi: 10:00 PM the next day
These arrangements have been meticulously planned and completed under the supervision of Secretary Railways, Syed Mazhar Ali Shah.
