In a recent development, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has taken action to prevent the authorities from arresting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan, in connection with the case of the murder of Quetta lawyer Abdul Razzaq Shar. The court has granted temporary relief to Imran Khan until August 9, as the three-member bench heard the case with the presence of the former premier during the Monday hearing.

Balochistan IGP Police presented a report indicating that four individuals, including Imran Khan, have been listed for questioning in connection with the case.

The tragic incident occurred last month when Abdul Razzaq Shar, a prominent Supreme Court lawyer, was fatally shot in Quetta. The lawyer had filed a petition against Imran Khan, alleging treason. The assailants, riding on motorcycles, carried out the drive-by shooting, which left Shar seriously injured. He was immediately rushed to Quetta Civil Hospital, but unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.
