The government is expected to disclose petroleum product prices today

As Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif returns to Pakistan from Uzbekistan today [Saturday], the federal government is scheduled to announce new petroleum product rates. According to reports, the Prime Minister’s Office alerted the Finance Ministry about the POL price announcement.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) did not advise lowering petrol and diesel prices. Instead, POL prices are anticipated to rise somewhat. According to sources, a final decision on POL pricing is likely today.

The delay in the notification, fuel outlets have ceased purchasing petroleum goods, potentially leading to a scarcity. The fuel price is expected to fall from Rs 235.98 per litre to Rs 226.36 following a Rs 9.62 per litre decrease over the next two weeks. The price of gasoline has not yet changed since Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has not yet issued any directives.
