Updated NICOP Fee Structure for Overseas Pakistanis in 2023

In a bid to facilitate overseas Pakistanis and streamline the process of obtaining the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a revised fee structure effective from August 2023. The NICOP serves as a crucial registration document for eligible Pakistani citizens residing abroad, offering a range of benefits including visa-free travel to Pakistan for dual nationals.

The application process for NICOP has made even more convenient, offering two primary avenues for applicants: the NADRA Registration Center (NRC) and the user-friendly Pak-Identity website.

Applying through NADRA Registration Center (NRC)

For applying a NICOP through the NRC involves a series of straightforward steps designed to streamline the process and expedite the issuance of the card:

  1. Token Issuance: Upon arrival at the NRC, applicants issued a token, enabling them to proceed smoothly through the process.
  2. Capture of Photograph: A photograph of the applicant captured to used for the NICOP.
  3. Biometric Data Collection: The applicant’s fingerprints and signature taken as part of the biometric verification process.
  4. Data Entry and Form Review: Essential applicant information entered into the system, and the completed form printed for review by the applicant.
  5. Form Handover: A printed version of the application form provided to the applicant, ready to submitted to the NRC. If a blood relative present (father, mother, brother, sister, son, or daughter), their biometrics can captured, eliminating the need for form attestation.
  6. Attestation (if required): In cases where a blood relative not present, the applicant’s form should attested by a gazetted officer before submission to the NRC.

Applying through Pak Identity Website

For those looking for a hassle-free application process, the Pak Identity website offers a convenient alternative:

  1. Online Application: Applicants can visit the Pak Identity website to initiate their NICOP application process.
  2. Home Delivery: Once the application processed and approved, the Smart National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP) will delivered directly to the applicant’s doorstep.
