Warning: SIM Cards Linked to Expired NADRA CNIC Cards to be Discontinued Soon

In a bold move to enhance citizens’ data security, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has mandated the discontinuation of mobile SIMs linked to obsolete and expired ID cards. This initiative is part of a broader plan to establish model offices for NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) nationwide.

During a comprehensive tour of the NADRA headquarters, Naqvi inspected all departments, including the printing section. He emphasized that NADRA, being the identity of Pakistan, plays a crucial role in safeguarding citizens’ data.

The minister also announced the abolition of fees for death certificates, a step taken to ease the burden on the citizens. This move aligns with the recent establishment of model police stations in Punjab, which has not only improved public convenience but also enhanced the image of the police force.

Naqvi further proposed a simplified system to address issues related to birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates. This system, in collaboration with Union Council offices, aims to streamline the process and make it more user-friendly.

In line with the digital age, Naqvi stressed the need to provide more facilities on mobile platforms. This step is expected to bring public services closer to the people, making them easily accessible at the touch of a button.
