Was Raoof Hasan Injured by Transgenders in Islamabad?

Raoof Hasan, the spokesperson for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was assaulted with a blade in the federal capital on Tuesday. The attack left Raoof Hasan injured in the face. This incident, where Raoof Hasan was injured, has sent shockwaves through the nation.

Hasan, who was returning from a private news channel at the time of the attack, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for first aid. He reported that a sharp object was used in the assault, leading to his injuries.

The incident sparked widespread criticism from PTI members, with Shibli Faraz demanding the arrest of the attackers within 24 hours. Faraz emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating that an attack on the leader of the country’s largest party in Islamabad was no ordinary incident. He called for a briefing on the incident in the Senate, particularly focusing on the circumstances under which Raoof Hasan injured.

The Islamabad police confirmed that a blade was used in the attack and launched an investigation into the incident.

CCTV footage of the attack has since emerged, showing four individuals, believed to be transgender persons, intercepting Hasan on the road and initiating the assault. A passerby came to Hasan’s rescue, while the alleged assailants managed to escape.

While media reports suggest that the attackers were transgender persons, their identities remain unconfirmed.
