Weather Alert: Karachi & Hyderabad Brace for Hot & Dry Weekend – PMD Issues Forecast

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast for the upcoming weekend, predicting predominantly hot and dry conditions for most parts of Sindh, including Karachi and Hyderabad.

According to the PMD’s synoptic analysis, a continental air mass is currently dominating most regions of Pakistan. This atmospheric condition is expected to result in mainly hot and dry weather across Sindh from Friday night through Sunday.

Karachi, the bustling metropolis, is likely to experience maximum temperatures ranging between 34-36 degrees Celsius on Saturday, and a slight increase to 35-37 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Hyderabad, another major city in Sindh, is predicted to face even higher temperatures. The mercury is expected to hover between 37-39 degrees Celsius on Saturday, and it could rise further to 38-40 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

In the past 24 hours, hot and dry weather has prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most districts of Sindh. Nawabshah, a city in the province, recorded the highest temperature at 40 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the evening was noted at 54%.

Meanwhile, Karachi and Hyderabad recorded maximum temperatures of 34 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius, respectively. The relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 66% in Karachi and 69% in Hyderabad.

As Sindh prepares for a hot and dry weekend, residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun.
