Nishan Pakistan: Nadra’s New Platform Boosts Secure Identity Verification Across Pakistan

NADRA rolled out Nishan Pakistan earlier this week. The platform went live around February 10, 2026, and it changes how identity checks work here.

Nishan Pakistan serves as a single web-based portal. Government bodies and authorized private sector organizations are now on board and subscribe digitally. No more lengthy paperwork or repeated approvals. You access services through secure APIs right away.

The system replaces old, fragmented, and manual processes. Nishan Pakistan delivers standardized verification under the NADRA Ordinance, 2000 (Section 7). It follows the NADRA (Data Sharing) Regulations, 2025, and NADRA (Identity Verification) Regulations, 2026.

Users receive multi-biometric authentication of fingerprint and face. They use Verisys also to check demographic, Proof-of-Life API and Single Sign-On (SSO). These tools reduce fraud, accelerate banking and telecom, social protection, etc.

Nishan Pakistan aligns with the Digital Economy Enhancement Program (DEEP). Pakistan targets 10-15% GDP contribution from the digital economy by 2030.
