Amir, Imad Break Silence On Their Equation With Babar, Arthur

Pakistan’s all-rounder, Imad Wasim, has offered insights into his relationship with the national cricket team’s skipper, Babar Azam.

During an interview with a local media channel, Imad acknowledged the intricacies of their connection.

“The answer to this question is complicated but there is no truth in the fact that we are enemies,” Imad said.

A few months ago, in a conversation with Cricket Pakistan, the all-rounder had emphasized the presence of mutual respect between him and Babar, emphasizing his commitment to putting aside personal matters when representing Pakistan.

“When you play for the country, you keep other elements aside, and this is exactly what we did. We kept everything aside. Needless to say, he [Babar] is the captain of Pakistan’s team, and I was rather playing as a player. This mutual respect between us has always been there, and it is still there. And when you play for the country, you are obliged to leave all of these things behind,” he had said.

On another note, former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir disclosed that he shares a strong bond with coach Mickey Arthur, both on and off the cricket field. However, when asked whether Arthur had encouraged him to reconsider his international retirement, the left-arm pacer responded with a succinct, “That is personal.”

“I’m constantly in touch with Mickey Arthur. We have a good relationship apart from cricket as well,” Amir said.

These statements shed light on the intricate dynamics and personal relationships within the Pakistani cricket team, with some aspects kept private and others expressed openly in the media.
