Babar Azam, the Pakistan cricket team captain, defeated Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and other cricketers in ICC poll on Twitter.
International Cricket Council asked in a poll that who among the 4 cricketers had the best cover drive. Babar Azam (Pakistan) along with Virat Kohli (India), Joe Root (England), and Kane Williamson (New Zealand) were among the players.
ICC began the poll “who is this generation’s cover drive king?” on February 3 on Twitter with images of the skippers from four teams. Babar Azam and Virat Kohli were the main competitors.
They toppled each other in terms of votes quite a few times, but it was the skipper of Pakistan who came out as a winner.
In total, 260,143 people voted in the ICC poll with Pakistani captain received the highest number of votes at 46%. However, Indian skipper Virat Kohli got 45.9% votes. On the other side, Kane Williamson and Joe Root received 7.1% and 1.1% votes respectively.
