Five More West Indies Team Members Test Covid Positive

In a shocking development after five more members of the West Indies team including three players tested positive for Covid, the West Indies and Pakistan Cricket Board will meet today to discuss whether to continue the tour or not.

The statement was released only a few hours before the third T20 International in Karachi.

Wicketkeeper Shai Hope, spinner Akeal Hosein, all-rounder Justin Greaves, assistant coach Roddy Estwick and physician Akshai Mansingh tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

According to a foreign media outlet, the boards were meeting to determine whether the tour can continue.

The West Indies team was also scheduled to play three one-day international matches against Pakistan.

Earlier, pacer Sheldon Cottrell, all-rounders Roston Chase and Kyle Mayers along with another staff member had tested positive after arriving in Pakistan.

Currently Pakistan is leading 2-0 and has technically won the three-match T20 series.
