The city of Karachi is buzzing with excitement as the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 set to stage 11 electrifying matches at the National Stadium. The city’s traffic police have rolled out a detailed traffic strategy to manage the expected surge in spectators.
The PSL 9’s second phase, running from February 28th to March 18th, will see all matches hosted in Karachi. To handle the anticipated increase in vehicle and pedestrian traffic near the stadium, a unique traffic management plan has put in place.
Spectators from Karsaaz, Millennium, and New Town encouraged to use the designated parking areas at the PSB Coaching Center/China Ground to minimize stadium-area congestion.
On match days, heavy traffic will restricted on several major routes to ease vehicle and pedestrian movement. These include Sohrab Goth to Nipa, Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hassan Square, Peoples Chowrangi to University Road, Karsaaz to the Stadium, Millennium to New Town, and Stadium Signal to Hassan Square.
The Karachi Traffic Police are calling on all commuters to plan their journeys in advance and work with the authorities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all PSL 9 attendees.
Notably, the first phase of PSL’s ninth edition held between Lahore and Multan.
