Pakistan’s Asian Games 2026 T20 Squad Revealed, Sahibzada Farhan to Lead

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the Pakistan T20 squad for the Asian Games 2026, with experienced batter Sahibzada Farhan appointed as captain of the national side.

The men’s cricket competition at the Asian Games 2026 will be played in T20 International format, with matches scheduled to begin on September 24 in Aichi, Japan. The cricket medal matches will take place on October 3, making the event one of the most anticipated tournaments on Pakistan’s cricket calendar this year.

Sahibzada Farhan to Lead Pakistan at Asian Games 2026

The PCB has entrusted 30-year-old Sahibzada Farhan with the responsibility of leading Pakistan’s T20 side at the Asian Games. Farhan has been one of the most consistent performers in domestic and franchise cricket and has represented Pakistan in 46 T20 International matches, scoring 1,305 runs, including two centuries and 10 half-centuries.

The board also confirmed that Abdul Samad will serve as vice-captain for the tournament.

Four Players Await Pakistan T20 Debut

The Asian Games squad includes several emerging talents, with Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Maaz Sadaqat, and Saad Masood in line to make their T20 International debuts for Pakistan.

Their inclusion highlights the PCB’s continued focus on developing young players and building depth ahead of future international competitions.

Pakistan Squad to Attend White-Ball Camp

Fourteen members of the 15-player squad will also participate in the national white-ball training camp scheduled to begin in Lahore on June 15. The camp will provide an opportunity for players to prepare for upcoming international assignments and the Asian Games.
