PSL Season 12 Date Announced for 2027, Eight Teams Return on March 18

The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed PSL Season 12 will run from March 18 to May 2, 2027.

The October 8 announcement follows consultations after the PSL Governing Council meeting in London on September 1. Owners and representatives of all eight franchises attended the meeting.

Eight Franchises Return, Peshawar Zalmi Defend Title

Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz will compete for the second consecutive season.

Zalmi won the 2026 title by beating Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets. PSL 11 introduced eight teams and replaced the player draft with an auction. The final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium drew 32,461 spectators.

Player Recruitment, Fixtures, and Tickets Await Announcement

The PCB will announce direct signings, player retentions, the trade window and auction details separately. Match fixtures, venues and ticketing arrangements also await release.

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi pledged to improve on the previous season. PSL chief executive Salman Naseer said the league aims to meet fans’ expectations in 2027.
