Delays in Olympic will help me to prepare better: Arshad

Country?s Javelin thrower Arshad says that in the start he gets disturbed after listening to the news of postponed of Olympics for a year. But now he feels relaxed that currently he has more time for preparation and this preparation will surely help him in winning a gold medal.

Arshad Nadeem, a Pakistani athlete in javelin throw, has boosted the morale for Olympic medal prospects after spending some time in serene at Mian chunnu in his hometown. He mentioned at the time when he selected for July Tokyo Olympics 2020 that ?he is more focused toward the event of Olympic will be held in Tokyo. And if he will make it possible to win a gold medal in Tokyo next year, then it would be a dream come true moment for him.? He was sent to China with other four athletes for training purpose for a couple of months. But he came back to the country soon then actual time after the outbreak of Coronavirus in China.?

Arshad is now doing training in his hometown and said that he?s not facing any issue during the training in rural areas unless the spread of pandemic is concerned. And he is training in Mian Chunnu with available facilities. He further added that he?s so young want to win a medal for the country as much as he can.

The AFP had planned to send Arshad Nadeem on May 1, 2020, to Finland but due to ongoing situation, they canceled it. Now they are looking for new dates to send him for training.

The Olympic qualifier round has suspended till December 1. In the first qualifying round for the Olympics was from April 6 to November 30, 2020. But now it will be held on December 1, 2020, to June 29, 2021.
