FIFA World Cup 2026: Public Screenings Announced for Karachi and Eight Other Sindh Cities

The Sindh government has announced plans to install big screens for FIFA World Cup 2026 matches across Karachi and several other cities, allowing football fans to watch the tournament’s biggest games together.
The initiative is being organized by the Sindh Department of Sports and Youth Affairs to encourage the participation of the public and promote football among the youth of the province of Sindh.
FIFA World Cup 2026 Matches to Be Screened in Sindh
The Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mahar announced that the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals will broadcast on July 15 and July 16, and the FIFA World Cup 2026 final will aired on July 20.
The matches will streamed live on giant screens in the Youth Development Center, Sharafi Goth, Malir in Karachi.
Cities Included in the Public Screening Initiative
The Sindh government will also be arranging FIFA World Cup 2026 live screens in the following cities other than Karachi:
- Shaheed Benazirabad
- Larkana
- Hyderabad
- Mirpurkhas
- Sukkur
- Rohri
- Ghotki
- Thatta
The public screening initiative designed to bring the excitement of the tournament to the community, allowing football fans from all over Sindh to enjoy the action firsthand.
Government Aims to Promote Football Culture
Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mahar emphasized that the program will aim at encouraging the participation of the youth, sports and healthy recreation across Sindh.
Organizing public screening of big events such as FIFA World Cup 2026 will boost public interest in football and contribute to the development of the sport’s culture in the province, he added.
The government hopes that such efforts will promote more youth involvement in sports and unite communities to experience one of the world’s largest sporting events.
