Free Hockey Gear in Schools, Sports Board Punjab Starts Province-Wide Drive

The Sports Board Punjab will begin distributing free hockey equipment and playing kits to schools across the province starting with Rawalpindi Division on August 21.
The Sports Board Punjab (SBP) announced a province-wide initiative to supply hockey equipment and playing kits to schools across Punjab to promote the national sport at the grassroots level.
The decision was finalized during an online meeting led by Sports Board Punjab officials which included all divisional sports officers from across the province.
Phased Distribution Plan
To manage delivery across all regions, the Sports Board Punjab will roll out the gear in structured phases.
The initial distribution will take place in Rawalpindi Division on 21 August 2026. Equipment will be systematically dispatched to public schools in the remaining divisions in subsequent phases.
SBP is coordinating directly with the School Education Department to manage overall logistics and to deliver equipment to school directly.
