The incident occurred while Ahsan Ramzan was undergoing training at a snooker academy in Lahore’s Town Ship area in preparation for upcoming events. The Green Town police conducted a late-night raid on the snooker club, which was still operational, resulting in Ahsan Ramzan being taken into custody.
Ahsan Ramzan, a prominent figure in the world of snooker, was among fellow players engaged in training when the incident unfolded. The police’s surprise raid caught everyone off guard. Despite Ahsan Ramzan’s attempts to identify himself, the police proceeded to escort him to the station. Even at the station, his explanations fell on deaf ears as he was subjected to further scrutiny.
Upon arrival at the police station, Ahsan Ramzan’s personal belongings, including his mobile phone and wallet, were confiscated. He was placed under custody for questioning and investigation. Fortunately, his release was secured thanks to the intervention of a close friend who arrived at the station promptly.
The incident left Ahsan Ramzan visibly distressed. In a heartfelt video message, he shared his experience of the unfortunate events. He recounted how he had proudly represented his country by winning the titles of World and Asian Champion. However, the treatment he received at the hands of the police was far from what he expected.

He expressed his appeal for justice to higher authorities, including the Prime Minister and the Inspector General of Punjab Police.
