In 2022, the company carried out 15 activities in 17 cities across the country, benefiting 2.5 million people directly. Zong 4G’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities were centered around Digital Intelligence and Innovation, Inclusive Growth, Digital Health, and a Green and Low Carbon Pakistan. The company provided free health services through Sehat Kahani to underprivileged communities and worked towards digital intelligence and inclusion. Additionally, Zong 4G focused on environmental sustainability, establishing two urban forests in Multan and Lahore and planting over 1400 trees. The company also provided talented women working at PBM’s (Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal) vocational center with an opportunity to showcase their skills. These women were given the task of producing cloth sleeves for the sustainability report, adding a unique touch to the packaging while also promoting and supporting local talent.
In recognition of its efforts towards sustainability, Zong 4G was awarded the honorable “SDG Solutions” award by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce for its CSR projects. The company also won the Outstanding CSR Case award from the Chinese Government in the same year. Out of the 172 cases that were submitted, only 35 cases won this award, and Zong 4G was one of them. Additionally, they won the Outstanding CSR Case Award for “Promoting Global Development” from the Chinese Government.
