250,000 Panadol hoarded in Karachi

As per the Health Ministry, DRAP (Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan) conducted an operation on Wednesday and seized around 250,000 Panadol pills hoarded from the Kachi Gali in Karachi.

The stockpiling created an artificial scarcity of Panadol throughout the country. The DRAP collected over 250,000 Panadol tablets during an operation in Karachi’s medical market.

Tablets have been forwarded for testing. DRAP rejected a proposal by Abdul Qadir Patel, Federal Health Minister regarding the price hike of the few medicines. And to take stern action against the hoarders. Abdul Qadir Patel, PPP leader said, that he cannot burden the poor with the price hike.
