The 12-year-old dog, whose real name was Balltze, had been valiantly fighting cancer over the past few months.
The owners revealed that Balltze peacefully drifted to sleep during his final thoracentesis surgery on a Friday morning. Initially, plans were in place for potential chemotherapy or other treatments following the surgery, but the timing was sadly too late for such interventions.
The Instagram post went on to express that the funds previously dedicated to Balltze’s treatment would now redirected to support local animal charities, continuing the dog’s legacy of positivity and compassion.
