The product in question is the Magnum Classic Chocolate Ice Cream, sold in packs of three. Unilever has warned that these packs may contain small pieces of metal, making them unsafe for consumption.
The company has released a product recall notice, identifying the affected batches by their pack size (3x100ml) and batch codes. The codes to look out for are L3324, L3325, L33326, L3327, and L3328. This issue extends to all ice creams with best-before dates up to November 2025.
Customers can locate the batch number and best-before information on the side of the box. While the cause of the issue remains unknown, Unilever urges customers who have purchased these products to refrain from consuming them and to reach out to the UK careline for further guidance.
