In a recent turn of events, popular YouTuber Yasir Shami has found himself in the legal limelight. The case, revolving around the sharing of videos featuring the late Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, has drawn considerable public attention.
Shami made his appearance at the Karachi City Courts, under the jurisdiction of the Judicial Magistrate East. Despite the gravity of the charges against him, Shami was granted bail against a surety bond of Rs2.5 million. The court further instructed Shami to present himself before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and provide a statement regarding the case.
The court’s decision follows multiple summons issued due to Shami’s consistent absence from hearings. Lawyer Sarkar underscored that Shami’s repeated non-attendance led to the issuance of an arrest warrant, emphasizing the necessity of his presence for the case’s progression.
