The Dubai 5-year multiple-entry visa has become more accessible after the United Arab Emirates (UAE) relaxed the requirements for its long-term tourist visa. The updated policy is expected to make travel easier for tourists, business travelers, and investors who frequently visit Dubai and other emirates.
The Dubai 5-year multiple entry visa is a 5-year visa for foreign nationals that lets them enter the UAE several times without a local sponsor or host, according to Arab media reports. Visa holders are allowed to remain in the country for a period of 90 days for each visit, which may be extended for a further 90 days as per the applicable regulations.
The UAE authorities, however, have specified that the overall period of stay granted by the visa will not exceed 180 days per calendar year.
How to Apply for the Dubai 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visa
Applicants can submit their Dubai 5-year multiple-entry visa application through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). In the application process, travelers are offered a 30, 60 or 90 day initial period of stay depending on their travel plans.
Visitors can request an extension if needed, but the maximum 180 days per year still applies.
Who Can Benefit?
The new Dubai 5-year multiple entry visa is likely to be advantageous for tourists, entrepreneurs, business professionals, investors and frequent visitors to the UAE who travel there multiple times in a year. The elimination of the mandatory local sponsor requirement is also expected to make it easier to apply and attract more international travelers.
Authorities have recommended that applicants read the criteria for eligibility and gather all necessary documents to minimise the risk of their visa application being delayed or denied.
