Melbourne To Lift World’s Longest Lockdown

Millions of people in the Australian city of Melbourne are ready to get out of the world’s longest lockdown cause by the corona virus.

According to Reuters, pubs, restaurants and cafes are in a hurry to resume supplies before opening their doors to the public.

Residents of Australia’s second largest city have been in lockdown since early August. This was the sixth lockdown in his city to prevent the spread of the highly contagious Delta virus.

Authorities in the state of Victoria, Melbourne, have promised to end the lockdown after double-dose vaccinations for people over the age of 16 exceeded 70 percent.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison confirmed that the state has achieved that goal. Restrictions will be further ease once vaccinations reach 80 and 90 percent.

From 11:59 p.m. Australian local time tonight, who have received both doses of the vaccine will be allowed in pubs. Cafes will be allow to go at the same time. However 20 people for indoor and �50 people will be allow to have outdoor gatherings.
