Over 61,000 Pakistani Hajj Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia Through 244 Flights

ISLAMABAD: The number of Pakistani pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia under the government Hajj scheme has reached 61,147 as Hajj flight operations continue successfully from different cities of Pakistan.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony told APP on Monday that 4,875 more Pakistani pilgrims reached the holy land during the last 24 hours.

“A total of 1,288 Hajj assistants/support staff have been deployed to facilitate pilgrims,” the statement said. 

Saudi Arabia hosts millions of Muslims annually for Hajj, one of Islam’s five pillars that must be performed at least once by every able-bodied Muslim with the financial means to undertake the journey.
