Pakistan Announces Major Cybersecurity Pact with Saudi Arabia at LEAP 2026

PAKISTAN: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in cybersecurity, with the agreement focusing on sharing expertise and best practices to address emerging cyber threats.

The MoU, signed by NCA Governor Eng. Majed Al-Mazyed and Pakistani Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, aims to protect cyberspace and the vital interests of both nations by facilitating the exchange of expertise and best practices to address emerging cyber threats.

The agreement aligns with the NCA’s ongoing strategic efforts to solidify Saudi Arabia’s global leadership in the cybersecurity sector by building robust international partnerships and integrating with global counterparts.

IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja concluded a “successful” visit to LEAP 2026, the IT ministry said in a statement, where she delivered a keynote address and led a Pakistani delegation at the event that showcased digital talent, innovation and attracted “significant investment.”
