Saudi Arabia to host 2029 Asian Winter Games at NEOM

Saudi Arabia won a bid on Tuesday to organize the 2029 Asian Winter Games at NEOM. NEOM is said to be the biggest Saudi Arabian project of smart urban life that will serve as a tourist spot. The site for the 2029 Asian Winter Games will be at a mountain resort will complete in 2026. That will present a man-made freshwater lake, outdoor skiing, and nature reserve. 

Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal who is a Sports Minister said on Twitter that the dynamic support by HRH Crown Prince and Saudi leadership proudly announces the bid to host AWG TROJENA2029. Saudi Arabia will be the first country in the western Asian country to host.

Under the Kingdom vision 2030, NEOM is one of the most aspiring projects of MBS. The project will lessen the reliance of Saudi Arabia on oil and will modify its economy by opening tourism. NEOM is a 26,500 square km advanced technology development on the Red Sea. It will be a zero-carbon city “The Line” as well as industrial and logistics areas.
