A cheerful moment turned tragic when a joyride that was spinning broke high and descended to the ground in Mohali, an Indian state of Punjab. The incident injured at least 10 people, including children.
There were around 50 people on the swing when it collapsed in a fair. The injured were taken urgently to hospital. Five patients were being treated under their supervision, according to a doctor. Fortunately, None was under critical condition.
According to accident witnesses, no safety precautions were followed when setting up the fair. However, according to the officials, an inquiry is currently being conducted, and anyone found to be guilty would face severe punishment.
