From Global Success to Pakistan: MG4 EV Urban Enters the Local EV Market

MG Motor Pakistan has introduced the all-new MG4 EV Urban, bringing one of MG’s globally successful electric vehicle platforms to Pakistani consumers.

The MG4 has already made a strong impact internationally, with more than 200,000 units sold worldwide. Building on this global success, MG Motor Pakistan has now launched the MG4 EV Urban for local buyers looking for a stylish, practical, spacious, and technology-focused electric hatchback.

The vehicle is designed to meet the needs of young professionals, urban families, and tech-oriented drivers who are considering a shift towards electric mobility. Its combination of electric range, charging flexibility, safety features, digital convenience, cabin space, and trunk practicality makes it a relevant offering for Pakistan’s evolving automotive market.

The MG4 EV Urban is powered by a 43-kWh battery and a front-wheel-drive electric motor producing 110 kW of power and 250 Nm of torque. It delivers up to 316 km WLTP range on a single charge, supporting everyday commuting, urban travel, and family routines.

The vehicle also supports both AC and DC charging, enabling customers to charge according to their convenience. AC charging supports regular charging routines, while DC fast charging enables the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes. This makes the MG4 EV Urban more practical for consumers who want to experience EV ownership without compromising convenience.

To celebrate the MG4 Urban’s arrival, MG Shield, the exclusive partner of MG JW, is also launching an additional feature for MG Shield customers. Eligible women customers, as well as spouses of male customers, will receive complimentary breast cancer treatment coverage of up to PKR 2 million with MG Shield motor insurance/takaful under cash or deferred payment options.

The coverage applies to eligible insured individuals aged 18 to 59. It is offered at no additional cost with MG Shield motor insurance/takaful. Pre-existing conditions will not be covered, and claims can be launched after one month of policy issuance.

Inside the cabin, the MG4 EV Urban offers a technology-rich and spacious experience. It includes a 12.8-inch HD infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and heated front seats. The spacious cabin supports family comfort, while the practical trunk space can accommodate luggage and everyday essentials.

Safety remains a central part of the MG4 EV Urban offering. The vehicle features MG Pilot Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keep Assist, and a 540-degree HD camera system with 360-degree visibility and transparent chassis view.
