These rates have been provided by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) and are based on the last 10 days’ data from the international gold market.

After two days of decline, the gold rate in Pakistan has seen an uptick on Saturday, in line with the increase in the international market. According to APSGJA, the rate of gold (24 carats) rose by Rs3,200 per tola and Rs2,743 per 10 grams, reaching Rs234,000 and Rs200,617, respectively.
In the international market, the gold rate settled at $2,010 per ounce, gaining $5. However, the country’s foreign exchange reserves are critically low and may not be enough for even a month’s imports. Moreover, the rupee touched a new low of Rs300 against the US dollar on May 11, exacerbating the economic situation.
