Yango Pakistan Launches Sharia-Compliant Pay Later Fintech Service

Yango Pakistan has launched its first fintech service, Pay Later. The service lets customers split eligible purchases into equal payments every two weeks through selected online merchants.

Yango Pakistan, part of Yango Group, has entered Pakistan’s fintech market with Pay Later. The company said the service will help customers manage purchases through installment payments. It will also give merchants another payment option at checkout.

Pay Later has started as a pilot on selected partner websites. Customers can also find participating merchants through the Shop section of the Yango SuperApp.

The launch includes Habitt, Sana Safinaz, Bagallery, Ego, Walkeaze and Scent N Secrets. Yango Pakistan plans to expand the network to more than 100 online retailers by the end of 2026. The target sectors include fashion, beauty, home goods and electronics.

Shariah Compliance Reviewed

Dr. Muhammad Imran Ashraf Usmani of Usmani & Co. Shariah Advisors (Pvt.) Ltd. reviewed the Pay Later model. He confirmed that its structure and operating principles comply with Shariah requirements, according to Yango Pakistan.

Ali Hussain, Head of Sales at Yango Fintech in Pakistan, said Pay Later gives merchants another way to make purchases more accessible to customers. He said the company designed the service for the Pakistani market. He added that the product includes Shariah principles in its structure from the start.

Miral Sharif, Country Head of Yango Pakistan, said partnerships remain central to Yango’s services. She said Pay Later extends this approach into fintech. She added that the service can help merchants reach new customers and support Pakistan’s digital economy.

Yango entered Pakistan in 2023 with its ride-hailing service. The company has since added Delivery, Cargo, Ads, Transport and B2B services. Pay Later now adds a fintech service to its Pakistan operations.
