HEC is drafting to Reopen Universities for Exams after May 31st

As it is define that schools and colleges are close for two months now due to Coronavirus pandemic. HEC Chairman, Dr. Tariq Banuri has declared to reopen universities for examination.

During a discussion with a news channel, Dr. Banuri told that HEC will approach the government f this pandemic situation will improve by the end of May.

�On the recommendation of the authorities, HEC could gain permission from the government to reopen the educational institutes for the examination�

If the situation would be control HEC can set the examination date after 15 July or even ready to conduct an online examination. Online exams will be based on research and constructive issue papers or assignments.

All these options are under consideration until HEC finalize any decision. Dr.Tariq Banuri has also called a virtual meeting with the VCs of all major universities across the country to discuss further and have their opinions before approaching the government.

Dr. Tariq Banuri explains further that due to this lockdown universities student are having a loss in their studies and their degrees are being postpone which is effecting their professional careers as well.
