Prime Minister Imran Khan will give need based Ehsaas undergraduate scholarships 2020 on Monday (today).
PM Imran Khan will offer the country’s biggest-ever scholarship scheme launched under Ehsaas Program to 50 thousand selected students in Islamabad.
Special assistant to the premier on poverty alleviation and social protection, Dr. Sania Nishtar, said that the scholarships will be awarded for the academic year 2019-2020, 50,000 students are being selected from all public sector universities in the country.
The scholarships for an undergraduate program under Ehsaas program is the biggest undergraduate schlorship program through which students will be awarded scholarship covers a complete tuition fee and an Rs4,000 monthly stipend.
However, 50,000 scholarships will be given yearly and approximately Rs24 billion will be spent on the four-year program to support 200,000 students, half of them girls belongs to low-income backgrounds.
According to the policy of Ehsaas program, two percent will be given to students with special needs.
