In a recent development, the regional education authority has unveiled a fresh schedule for educational institutions during the holy month of Ramazan. The new timetable is designed to ensure the smooth functioning of schools and colleges while respecting the sanctity of the fasting period.
From Monday through Thursday, the morning shift at schools will now operate from 7:30am to 11:30am. However, an extension is granted on Fridays, with classes running from 7:30am to 1:30pm. This adjustment allows students and staff to prepare for the weekend while observing their fasts.
The afternoon shift has also been restructured. Schools will now run their second shift from 11:45am to 2:45pm. This change ensures that students have ample time to reach home before the breaking of the fast.
Colleges, on the other hand, have a slightly different schedule. The morning shift will commence from 8:30am and conclude at 12pm. The afternoon shift at colleges will kick off at 2:30pm and wrap up by 5pm.
This revised schedule reflects the department’s commitment to providing quality education while respecting the religious practices of the students and staff. It’s a testament to the balance between academic pursuits and spiritual obligations during the sacred month of Ramazan.
