Imran Khan Announces Film Comeback After 10 Years

Imran Khan is set to return in a leading role after a decade with the Netflix romantic comedy Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum. The actor has completed filming for the Danish Aslam-directed film, which is expected to release later in 2026.

Bollywood actor Imran Khan has confirmed his return to films after 10 years. His last major film appearance came in Katti Batti in 2015. He later made a brief cameo in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos in January 2026.

Khan confirmed that he has completed shooting for Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum. The Netflix film is now in post-production. It also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada.

Imran Khan Talks About His Comeback

Khan described the upcoming film as a “grown-up romantic comedy.” He said the project reflects the stage of life he is in now. He also said the film responds to the lack of certain stories and emotions in current cinema.

The actor became known for romantic comedies such as Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, I Hate Luv Storys, Break Ke Baad, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum marks Khan’s first leading role in a film since Katti Batti. Danish Aslam is directing the project. He previously worked with Khan on Break Ke Baad in 2010.

Netflix Film Set for 2026

Khan said the film is scheduled to arrive on Netflix toward the end of 2026. The project remains in post-production, and the makers have not announced an exact release date.

The film marks Khan’s first collaboration with Bhumi Pednekar. It also brings him back to a romantic comedy genre that featured prominently in his earlier career.
