Late Indian Singer Asha Bhosle’s Final Song Set for September Release

The final recorded film song by legendary Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle will release on September 8, 2026. This date marks her birth anniversary as well.

The track bears the title ‘Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan’. Bhosle recorded the song in late 2023 at the age of 90.

The song features in the upcoming comedy-drama film Om Ka Hari. Director Harish Vyas chose September 8 for the release to honor Bhosle’s timeless voice and her massive musical legacy.

Cast of The Film and Asha’s Role

Actor Anshuman Jha plays the lead role in the film. He stated that Om Ka Hari focuses on the importance of telling one’s father “I love you,” a sentiment he never managed to express to his own father. Jha described working with Bhosle in the studio as pure joy, calling her voice central to the emotional purification of the film.

The film also stars Raghubir Yadav, Soni Razdan, and Ayesha Kapur.

Passing of the Legend

Asha Bhosle passed away in Mumbai on April 12, 2026, at the age of 92 due to multi-organ failure following a cardiac arrest. She had a long career of over seven decades.
