TV personality and cryptocurrency specialist Waqar Zaka has firmly denied the accusations leveled against him by renowned actor and host Nida Yasir, who claimed that he attempted to sabotage her hosting career.
Nida, a veteran host of a popular morning show spanning over 15 years, voiced her grievances in a recent interview. Zaka, responding through a video on an online platform, attributed his delayed response to his demanding schedule at Stanford University in California, USA.
In the video, Zaka emphasized the importance of bringing closure to the matter, suggesting that Nida’s actions driven by a desire for attention and publicity. He recounted a significant incident from 2020, accusing Nida of a major misstep. According to Zaka, she invited the parents of a girl who had tragically lost her life to sexual abuse, making them emotional on national television by subjecting them to intense questioning.
Disputing Nida’s version of events, Zaka played a video featuring a purported social activist who visited the child’s home. The activist asked the grieving family if Nida’s statements were accurate. Contrary to Nida’s claims, the family denied reaching out to the channel for media support, asserting that it was the channel that approached them through Sarim Burney.
Zaka disputed Nida’s claim that the FIR was filed after the show, providing evidence of a conversation with the family confirming it was reported on the day the daughter went missing, despite the episode airing later.
Zaka concluded by stating that Nida Yasir’s animosity towards him stemmed from his efforts to debunk the statements she had made. This unfolding controversy adds another layer to the dynamics of the entertainment industry, shedding light on behind-the-scenes disputes and raising questions about the veracity of public narratives.
