Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Gears Up for Jamadi ul Awwal Moon Sighting Today
In a significant event, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is set to convene in Islamabad today, November 14, to observe the crescent moon marking the beginning of the new Islamic month, Jamadi ul Awwal.
Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, will preside over the meeting, which holds paramount importance in determining the commencement of Jamadi ul Awwal. Simultaneously, Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees in Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar will assemble in their respective provincial headquarters.
The collaborative effort includes representatives from various organizations, such as the Meteorological Department and SPARCO, who will provide essential assistance during the moon-sighting proceedings.
If the moon is sighted in Pakistan today, Wednesday, November 15, is poised to be officially declared as the first day of Jamadi ul Awwal, ushering in a new lunar month for the Islamic calendar.
