BISP Benazir SIM: Beneficiaries Asked to Collect Free SIM Cards for Payment Updates

ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has issued important instructions for its beneficiaries regarding the BISP Benazir SIM, urging all eligible women to collect their free SIM cards as soon as possible to ensure they receive payment notifications and digital wallet updates without any issues.

BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid made the announcement while holding e-Kacheri session, during which she urged beneficiaries who have not received their official Benazir SIMs to rush to their nearest BISP office.

Collect Your Free BISP Benazir SIM from the Nearest Office

Senator Rubina Khalid urged women to get their BISP SIM from any nearest BISP center free of cost and those having SIM from other sources should get it from the BISP office.

She explained that the SIM is absolutely free and there should be no charge on it from any person or institution.

Documents Required to Receive the BISP Benazir SIM

When visiting the Bisp Office beneficiaries shall carry the following items, according to the chairperson of Bisp:

• Original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC)
• Personal mobile phone

She also directed women to ask BISP officials to put the SIM in their cell phones and activate it during collection.

How the BISP Benazir SIM Helps Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries of BISP will be able to get SMS updates directly from bank whenever amount is transferred to their digital wallets using BISP SIM.

Once the payment is withdrawn the beneficiaries will receive another confirmation SMS with all the details of:

• Amount transferred
• Amount withdrawn
• Payment confirmation

These messages will be the official record of the beneficiary having received the entire payment amount of the Benazir Income Support Programme.

BISP Warns Beneficiaries Against Fraud

Senator Rubina Khalid also gave an important message to the beneficiaries that they should never pass their cell phone to any agent or middleman.

She explained that receiving BISP payments requires only:

• Original CNIC
• Biometric verification

A mobile phone is not required to withdraw BISP payments.

The beneficiaries were also instructed to never leave their mobile phone and registered numbers behind so that anyone cannot delete important money alerts and complaint-related messages.

BISP Services Are Completely Free

The BISP chairperson again emphasized that the stipend of BISP, Benazir SIM cards, payment services, and facilities to the beneficiaries are provided free of charge. Beneficiaries must be vigilant of any individual asking for cash for such services, and inform the BISP authorities of any suspicious activities.
