Gold Prices Decline Further in Pakistan and Global Markets

PAKISTAN: Gold prices in Pakistan decreased on Tuesday in line with their loss in the international market. In the local market, the gold price per tola reached Rs462,136 after a decline of Rs1,000 during the day.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10 grams was sold at Rs396,207 after a decline of Rs857, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs363,202 per 10 grams.

Globally, spot gold traded near $4,398 an ounce, down $24 or 0.54% from the previous session, buoyed by a softer US dollar as markets turned their attention to upcoming inflation figures that could influence the Federal Reserve’s next policy decision.
